Old Board Research Help

I bought this longboard at a garage sale in the neighborhood and was wondering if anyone on here knew anything about the shaper etc… I am a new member so feel free to advise if I am in the wrong section. Some photos should be attached, any information or a point in the right direction would be much appreciated. The lam reads as follows:

MADE BY RON

702 CANTERBURY ROAD

BELMORE, NSW., AUSTRALIA

PHONE 75 1989

There looks to be a stamped serial number on the foam just under the label “2185” and also written on the stringer “p2185 9’5” Again thanks for any help and I hope I am in the right area. Oh yeah, I bought it for $135 good deal?

I can’t help you with the history of that board, but looks like you got a good deal on what appears to be a 60’s vintage board. You got a good deal as far as paying $135 for it. It looks in a state where it would’nt take all that much to make it a wall hanger, or ride it just as it is. If it was mine, I’d ride it.

Ron Perrott ??

…does that ring any bells, Platty, Blindboy, Josh’s dad, Matt S ?

I bought it for hanging in the home office, after a few rides of course. The board is still dirty and has old parafin wax all over it, a little cleaning and she wil be great. A little internet search revealed the name Ron Hampton with “Ron’s Surfboards” at that same address. The site I was on, I will look at the name in a minute, stated that Geoff McCoy shaped for him in the early mid sixties and William Morton did finishing. This is what one website wrote. This is fun, thanks for helping guys.
