great stuufff maaan

…you mean I can now stop GIVING AWAY my crude , poorly foiled p.o.s. fins to people ??

ben

Mate, your love for something’s should have a price, for so many years the surf industry has sold it self to the cheapest bidder so many of my mate’s on the Gold Coast have stuggled to make a living and not make millons but hundreds of dollars because some people import from cheap labour country’s and we can not compete. The chemical companys are the guys making all the dollars they remind me of the Gunnrunners of every conflict the world has ever had.

Yes, in the particular instance of replacement fins to fit FCS boxes. It is not safe to extrapolate from this case, though. Worth noting is the wording of the three FCS patents:

5,328,397: http://tinyurl.com/jfu6e

5,464,359: http://tinyurl.com/jyaou

5,672,081: http://tinyurl.com/gol9e

Every claim is made in terms of the “surfcraft” and the fin box. Had FCS taken the trouble to patent the box and the fin seperately (and perhaps the fin feature was not patentable by itself for some reason), I’m pretty sure the outcome would have been different…

I think this answers your question Chipfish, Futures fins with FCS tabs:

Coque.

Hola, Coque, do you know those, made in Spain?

Hi Balsa, the plugs (specially the leash plug) seems like the ones made in SA, but i know of at least two FCS “replacements” made in Spain: Eurofin and Full&Cas.

The ones made in SA have a way better look and feeling and they even have a “carbon paste” option at a great price… i would go with those ones.

Ask your friend, he knows about them…

If you want i can ship you some sets.

Coque.

Thanks, Coque, but I got them through our common friend. And, yes, the price is even more than attractive…

That’s great, and they have inside foil… i think is a good product (if you like FCS system), at a great price.

I also love their leash plug. Once installed it look really clean and small.
