Classic! lol.

Classic, thanks for sharing, love the boards, kids, you guys pass, what can I say ?

That’s just god puting a smile where there wasn’t once one Lol. I once got 65 internal and external stiches in my leg from a surfboard fin. Look at me now. I like to call it passion. Something no one could accuse you of not having Roy.

Hi Hunty,

That slice was from the tail of my 13’9", it was on a really small day and I was swimming to retreive my board, rather overamped, head down, not looking, travelled faster than I thought and swam into the tail, just as the tail was rocking, up or down, can’t remember.

It was a clean slice actually and didn’t hurt, luckily a top surgeon was visiting the local Mount A&E so he stitched me up nicely with 36 little loops, I was back in the water a week later covered in zinc block.

Only the week before I was ridng the same board during the nationals at low tide Manu Bay ledge, pretty solid waves too , lost my board on one wave ( made 3 lost one ) and came up to see it cartwheeling through the air repeatedly, a pretty solid wall of whitewater to toss a 70 pound 13 footer like that, thought I was King Kong, pride before fall ?

The most frightening part was being driven by a freaked out wife, she’s a curb basher at the best of times !
