find old boards. Just ask older surfers where to find them.
Then measure them. I pulled dimensions off an old 6’6" singlefin G&S that was used at China Beach in Nam - the wide point was 7 inches forward!
are you talking about the round-nosed full outlined transition shapes or the more typical pointed nose roundpintail from that era? if the former, i have several i could give you dimensions from OR go to liddlesurfboards.com-he still makes 'em and the fly!!
either actually Matt. If you could pull me a few off some in the 6’0 to 6’6 range that would be great if you get a chance.
Thanks alot!

Those dimensions are for a 6’10". Pull the widepoint in 1/4" for every 2" drop in length.
Where ar you? I have at least 4 or 5 boards from the 70s.
Hey Singlefin4me,
I have 5 boards here from the 70’s and have friend that has a couple more. They were all shaped here in Santa Cruz. They are between 8’3" and 6’10". How long of a board are you looking for? What type of shape and tail? These are Michel Junod, John Mel, & Steve Coletta’s shapes.
Mahalo, Rich
unfortunately my boards start at 7’ and go up from there- arc tails and roundtails.check the liddle sight and the resource spence posted and if you see something you like i’ll try and help you out.also check resources for paul gross 7’2" displacement hull.in that picture i believe you will see some other boards on the ground behind me, including an extreme roundtail stringerless.
