Just looking at inventive fin design and the concept of a smaller front fin followed by a larger fin is a lot like the Twinzer by D’Arcy that Pottz rode but was it him that invented the Twinzer ? I also saw a ‘Supercharger’ mini fin directly in front of a centre fin and I forget who did that first or best ?
Even the Bonzer is a bit of a leading/trailing fin idea that may have lead to the quad concept. Any thoughts on who did what first or when you first saw a new multi fin design?
Hynson was probably not the first but was one of the first to push the “Twinzer” concept. He may have even come up with the name. The Campell Bros. of course were and rightly credited as the inventers of the “Bonzer”. I think Mr. Thrailkill may have been ahead of the game in experiments with forward fins as well. Myself I set the smaller fin to the rear and inside of the rail or outside fin, with a double foiled center fin. Which; Yes, does add up to five fins. More experts than you can shake a finger at on this site so I am sure I will be corrected. Lowel
