One solution to fish eyes

Don’t have a workspace at present so borrowing space here and there…not having a clean environment leads to contamination and fish eyes.

After having to sand back to the cloth thanks to a severely fish eyed fill coat (completely my fault), I decided to take a different approach.

Wetting out and vacuuming down some peelply leaves a near perfect fill coat with very little effort and no fish eyes. Will use this method on all future epoxy boards.

My vac skills are not up to bagging full laminations yet.

Since peel ply usually absorbs epoxy, you’re not going to get much of a fill coat

I think it is a good idea. Provided you get all the pinholes sealed less fill is better.

All the best
