Orange county

I am back visiting family in orange county and I am planning on doing a vac board with my brother as well as a restoration. I was wondering where is the best place, locally to get cloth and epoxy? I know RR has a distributer in LA but does any know if anyone carries it locally? If not RR, any? I am near the Clark Factory.

Foamez is nearby. Not sure which city though. You could look at their website to find the address.

They’re in Westminster, right by the mall. Good guys, pricey though.

Damn, didnt think I’d get called a haole in SoCal, thought I would have a short break from that! Hehehehe, just a joke, Thanks for the info.

Sorry, that’s not aimed at you. I’ve taken on that name between my

friends and I. I grew up on the Islands and just got used to it.

Hahaha, yeah I caught that, just thought I would have some fun.

Peace

(ie. escaped haole)

Guys,

Based on many years experience in the Islands, I believe the correct term is F##KIN’ HAOLE. Yes, I’m sure that’s it. Final answer.

Yes, I agree that is the politically correct phrase

Joe~

I always thought it was DUMB F*#^ING HAOLE. Aloha,Kokua

Did you check Bashams in San Clemente?

Not sure if I spelled it right but I’ve seen their phone number posted here.

Kokua,

I stand corrected.

For the best Epoxy in so-cal go with the local formulator, PTM&W…http://www.ptm-w.com/

As far as glass/carbon goes, theres Crystaliner in Costa Mesa on Placentia and 16th St.

What’re you gonna do for Vac-bag?? Peel ply?? and bleeder??

Mahalo for the the info.

I have just been making bags out of cheap painters plastic (dont remember the mm offhand), for the breather I just use whatever thin fabric that I have laying around. I dont vac the exterior glass, to me, just doing a board every once in a while I havent found it to be cost/time effective, so the peel ply isnt necessary. I almost got a real bag from Fiberglass Hawaii but decided to wait till I get back to Oahu. What are you using for the consumables?

I have quite a bit of bagging materials due to my manufacture of oc-1’s, paddleboards, etc…

I got my stuff from http://www.richmondaircraft.com/ and http://www.airtechintl.com/
