got a (signed!) copy of Gerry’s Autobiography, “Surf Is Where You Find It”. good read, I’d recommend it.

Great book…Lopez is such a great story teller…writes almost as good as he surfed the Pipe. What was so special about getting the book is that I happened to be on Kauai on my annual Pakala visit and picked up the book after a fun evening session there. After getting through the first chapter, I trip out on chapter 2, Pakala. Reading about it through his words and surfing it the next day more than made this visit a special one. The rest of the book was icing on the cake. One of those books you can read over and over. Viva Lopez!!!
PS- For those who might not already know…there’s a great video series at the Patagonia website that features Lopez and Jock Sutherland narrating a slide show that was held at a Patagonia store. A must see.
