Painting epoxy boards...enamel or acrylic?

Hi, I am just about to glass my first board and I’m curious how I can spray it.

I want to do a graffiti art piece that I have dreamt about for years but all the advice I have had is I need to use acrylic/water based paint.

Is this true? or can I use enamel paint. The reason being the nibs on acrylic spray cans I’ve seen are crap and have a very wide spread

meaning good accuracy is a lot harder.

I will be finishing the glassing, then spraying the art then followed by a clear coat.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Krylon makes a water based spray paint that I use sometimes. Good stuff if you are going for that look.

I just saw a nice board in a shop in Encinitas. The rails were a metalic gold color, which I have been unable to find as a pigment. So it ocurred to me that perhaps this was painted on the hot coat and glossed over. Anyone in the know care to comment on this possibility?
