Parallel Rail Theory - Rich Harbour

Whilst reading the harbour surfboard website, Rich refers to the ‘parallel rail theory’ in longboards.

Excuse me but I havent heard about that one. can someone please explain ?

I am right at the point in development of an outline for a logger and was contemplating how much curve to add.

Rodier

They don’t mean literally paralel like rail road tracks.

They mean more curve at the hips, then straighter thru to almost the nose, then pulled in to the nose.

Rather than an elliptical continuous curve, which is more performance oriented, less stable, less glide speed.
