Parmenter Stubb Vector

I’m interested in a Parmenter/Parmenteresque stubb vector style shape. What are the rough outline, thickness and rocker numbers on the latest vector incarnations (for a 7’ or 7’2")? Does Parmenter have a website? Does any shop in San Diego stock his boards?

Hey Joe, I think you may have some luck contacting “Moon Doggies” up in San Luis Obispo area. They used to carry his boards but since moving to Makaha…I don’t know now. I think they have a website but I can’t recall it right now. Another alternative is to contact the guys at Point Blanks(Patagonia Surfboards) in Ventura(www.pointblanks.com). They have a series called the Rocket Sled which were based on Parmenter’s Stubb Vectors - Patagonia’s founder and Dave are good friends from what I understand. They have a pretty wide range of sizes. Epoxy stuff, if you’re into that trip. Good luck…I like Dave’s ideas too. Let me know what you find and end up with…it may help me in my next choice! Aloha, Mitch

Contact Moondoggies (805-541-1995) ASAP… Dave Parmenter usually rolls into town about now to crank out some nice cutting edge customs. They also carry his stock boards.

I have one – 7’0" – very nice…I also have one, a 7’ 2" Yes, very nice board! Let me know if I can help you, Scott.

I have a 6’8" Patagonia Rocket Sled for sale that is based on Parmenter’s Stubb Vector model. It’s a very fast, very carvy board. My board is near-mint condition, wedge stringer; first $350 gets it.

I have one – 7’0" – very nice. Yes, Moondoggies is still the place. Ask for Zach. I have a 7’4" Vector Cuda. That’s a version with the nose and tail pulled in some. He used a 7’4"R blank. The dimensions are N-13", W-20", T-13.9" and it’s 2 3/4" thick. I was out on it yesterday in 3’ wind slop. Very nice board indeed.
