just wondering if anyone knows of a current active supplier of Paulownia in the UK? all my searching has proved negative. there was a guy called Christian at rootedorigin but he is currently studying for a degree so is not supplying at this time.
ideally i’m after long lengths (2.5-3m) for a hollow surfboard build

Actually, I’ve been trying to get some from a yacht outfitter friend of mine who has a business in Palma. Still waiting but since Majorca is pretty close it might be a bettter option for us UK bods. There is also a chap who builds pretty cool asymm paipos in Cornwall. Patrick his name is I think at SAW boards. Google him…he might know.

so, good news and bad news…
I E-mailed the people Kayu suggested and they put me in touch with a UK distributor and board builder named Charlie based in London who can supply exactly what I am after, great!
bad news is that a board 3000 x 150 x 50 will be £61.50! plus a courier to me would be in the region of another £70! it does not exactly make it the cheapest of board builds!
that said Charlie seems like a top bloke and as luck would have it he is coming to my area this weekend and has offered to strap a few boards to his roof so I can meet him on the way, saving the cost of the courier! so I have bitten the bullet and ordered enough boards to make 3 hollow surfboards!
