luis,
I have not explored but I have heard bluegum eucalyptus is unsuitable for lumber.
Jarrah and kirra presumably would be better, but both are hard on tools. I think all the gums have resistance to taking any sort of chemical treatment.

Most of the Eucalyptus I have used on the west coast has been very unstable. Im a wood turner and have had on several occasions (what I thougt was dry) Eucalyptus crack wide open while working with it. And yes when it fully dries it is very dense and very hard, dulls blades and tools very quickly. Just my two cents. R
Great input
What about Eucalypt veneers? Do they display similar instability?
Be nice to veneer in Australian woods rather than bamboo.

Yes, I have used veneers. Almost all store bought veneers are kiln dried and ready to use. Thats the great thing about veneer its so thin it dries quickly and doesnt move on you(crack or split). The Eucalyptes species here in Calif. are not very decorative. But as the last person said some of your gums are really exceptional! You can find just about everything you can think of online. And because it is veneer, its light and cheap to ship. Good luck with the project. R
