PHOTOGS!! please help

During the summer my friend found this housing at his uncles house and gave it to me because he had no use for it. I have no idea what make it is or what camera it is made for which is why i am posting this. The following pictures are of the housing. im guessing its at least 10 years old if not a little older and if anyone has any info on what kind of camera its for and who made it please tell me. The supports inside are too narrow and do not fit a elan 7. Im trying to figure out it i can get it retrofitted for a canon eos 630 or any canon so that i can use it… thanks to anyone that can help out.

try an cannon ae1

wow awesome, i see you are in Ocean grove where was this friends uncle? I spend a good chunk of time inj about 1/3 of the year every year.

Wow- you kinda stumped the panel here… no obvious makers marks or stickers, and most of the ‘brand name’ types like Ikelite tended to be all plexiglass, not fiberglass. Off te wall thought, but it might be a Scott Preiss housing. Buddy of mine used to sell cameras and as far as I know he still has a Preiss housing, unfortunatley he’s out of the country for a couple weeks just now.

It’s for a single-lens reflex camera, Could be any one of a number of 1970s-80s era cameras including ( but not limited to ) the AE-1, the OM-2, 3 and 4 or assorted Nikons. Could be for an EOS like yours too -

That’s the bad news. The good news is that with some fairly dense neoprene foam and mebbe a few new o-rings you can probably refit this to any one of many autofocus/program cameras. The EOS 630 among 'em. Though it will be tricky in some ways, it’s doable. You can’t get all the functions easily accessible, but you just preset as needed. I think the autofocus should work okay through the plexiglass.

Parts and other stuff at http://www.ikelite.com/web_pages/1cat_index.html plus one or two others - see the back of a diving magazine. Do replace the missing wee-twisty-gizmo on the front, so it’ll tighten down right and stay waterproof.

On the other hand, by the time it’s all said and done, it might be cheaper to score an old Nikonos with the 80mm lens and have at it.

hope that’s of use
