getting photos of yourself is tough unless your like CraveNalu and have someone like Jaime Ballenger on the beach or in the water with his monster lens or an older brother with a bum knee who can’t be in the water surfing himself being nice to take movies of you…

Since you showed some old skate photos, I’ll share on with you. I used to be quite a skate fanatic. I rode my skateboard to work up until I was about 30. I lived a couple hundred yards away at the time.
My brother shot this one. I built a ramp in our backyard around 1978 or so. I could ride along our sidewalk up the ramp and back down the side walk. This was before we knew about half pipes. I think the ramp had a 4’ radius. My dad eventually made me tear it down because it wrecked his yard. Funny thing about skating was that I skated goofyfoot most of the time and surf regular foot most of the time.

The chest high and under “kid” , on Hicksy’s 8’11 (did my head in ! ) “moonrocket” board , which is a double winged single fin , made from a windsurfer blank …
I’ve found some other photos of me on various boards from over the years , too ( but I don’t want to appear a wanker by flooding this thread with them ). Unless people REAALLLY reaallly want to see me grovelling on tiny waves ? …Then , yes , you can all have a good laugh !!

here’s Pascal [‘Popeye’] , with his “Speedneedle” shaped twin fin …
I’ve only had one or two pics taken of me that I really like, unfortunately this does’nt happen to be one of them but what the heck. The board is a 7’0" roundpin single fin that is one of those boards that you kinda like but want to improve on. I’d probably put in a little more rocker throughout the bottom curve, add a touch more vee and make the rails slightly fuller if I were to shape another one like it.
