(photos ) how your boards ride .....

It’s not me, it’s my brother, but well worth putting on the site i think. He’s just as talented at surfing. Somewhere near Cabo.

Um. Holy crap.

OK Chip… here’s a pic of my first board! My dad made a few of these hollow wood paddle boards in the early 50’s.

Probably from the Pop.Sci. mag. Wish I still had that board!

Um. Holy crap.

you took the words right out of my mouth. I have always wanted to get that good at skimming

that would suck to fall, becuase athough thats a hugh shore break you’d just smack the sand it would be like jumping off a roof on to a rock or pavement and wow that guy is my hero i wish i was that good at surfing or anything else for that matter

“… did he MAKE it ??”

lol

that’s a GREAT photo , though …going BALListic , for SURE !

how big would that board be , do you know ? [I ask , because I saw a pretty groovy 40" one at , of all places , K-MART [?!] today ! They wanted $55aus for it . With the kick in it , and the width , I figured I could make two good skatedecks out of it , if I sucked at skimming …

What’s that kid’s name??? We’ll be looking for him in the surf media!

I mean, I like carvy stuff, but shit!

So,. ah, did you make that thing he’s boosting up to the sky there, or what?

And, these photos by ‘Lavz’ [thanks , Ant !]…

Fun thread chipper!

Going to make this post in Board-Ride-Spot format.

In the back ground those are islands covered with snow!

6’4" fish

ok some where warm… costa 6’8" shortbard

Here’s some crappy photos, but it’s all I got. These two are of me riding the first board I ever made. These were taken on my birthday last January. Just some wind blown storm surf.

And these are my first test ride of a total experimental board (2 part pour foam in a mold I had made). Just trying to make the best of some one foot surf. Wasn’t happy with the results and sold (gave away) this board for $120. Got to make room around here some how.

Aloha

Fun,fun, fun. Ireland

here’s one of me on a board I made recently…

Ohhh Mister Keith! Pull in Mr. Keith, Pull in!

Turn, Mr. Lee, TURN!!

keep 'em coming guys , keep 'em coming !

‘Shwuz’ , how did you go with that right hand tube you were about to pull into ? […it looks like a decent wedge in front of you , and a bit of a double up ?! ]

I don’t remember seeing that nice 5 finner before ? What are the dimensions of it , please ?

cheers

ben

‘Mook’ , Ireland looks VERY cold , as I would expect , being that far north ! […But FUN, eh ?! that’s good !]

haha i’m so landlocked i would try to get barreled on that 2 foot tube and doesn’t ireland have constant on shore winds?

Hey chipper, that bonzer is 6’10" 21.5 x 2.625 thick

Don’t know which wave you’re referring to, but I’m sure I dodged any tube on both of the steep waves shown. The last one was a survival wave, a “between sets, so get my ass back to the beach” wave.

This is the same place a couple of mornings later.

Never been so f-ing scared in my whole life.
