I want to make a board that is 8,6 13.5 nose, 22.5 width, and 14.5 squash tail, tri fin big guy board. I want it to have pretty much the same shape as a 6,5 shortboard. Which blank would you use? I’m leaning toward the Clark Foam 8,7R shape, initially, by Rusty. It has six inches of nose rocker and about 2.5 inches of tail rocker. My friend, who is a pro shaper, says to get the 8,8E, which is more of a mini-tanker blank. So, what do you think?
…8-7R hands down.Herb
Sounds like your board will fit into the hybrid or funboard category better.
