being a goofy myself and growing up on a right point. Lefts really get me fired up. looks like its really pushing through, how long is the wave.
Not exactly the same spot, but close. Same swell, same angle… ouch.
Great pix, resinhead – thanks for posting!
Hi Resinhead. You’d be advised to be careful what you wish for; because once the Rincon bloggers hear word of your exploits they’ll be joining you at your loved pickleweed point. They have turned into a bunch of whores, giving free tricks to get you hooked on the self indulgent lifestyle. Nice pics though.
Humm, looks like a 6’2" pump and squirt with his competition leash lost his board.
I know, right before he jumped off the rock into the water he was saying…Hey man this is my big board, it’s my 7’0" gun.
Total Darwinian moment for the unlucky many that day. 80% had boards way under 7’6".
eastpac,
I never drive the same street twice the same week. I have 15 different vehicles, and never have less than 5 leave the compound at once…everyone taking a different road to the beach.
All vehicles are equiped with smoke screen, tacks, and or course oil slick devices.
The water is patroled by 5 rabid, herpies infested, attack seal lions all rotated to be on their period when on patrol. We have a total of 20 of these creatures. 5 for each week of the month.
No need for land based antics.
Got it. OK you’re off the list
Jay,
That looks like a very good ‘‘Indicator’’ of the size of the swell. Some would think that it is ‘‘Garbage’’, but the form looks fine to me.
How big would you say that wave is?
6-8 ft Hawaiian, or our 12-15ft
east coast, that equates to about 35ft
OH here we go with the size thing again. Well mine is little bitty. Put the surfer in the trough and multiply his approx 6 foot height to the top of the wave. Nice shots by the way! East coasters’ extimate probably about accurate for face height. Since the back varies w/ the rate of change of water depth (as well as swell etc) the Hawaiian scale only applies at Sunset Beach. Wonder why the East coast seems to have the most balanced ego structure? Ya’d never know it from what goes on in D.C.
I had no idea a Hawaiian foot was roughly a meter, must make building things on a hawaii tough… And Roy’s surfboards technically qualify as shortboards awe heck 6 meters= 6ft right?? LOL!!
Awesome shots guys, big balls the guys who went.
here we go with the size thing?? i d say its around 10 feet…
