Pics of an extremely psychedelic board.. Check it out!

I haven’t been on here in forever! Anywho, here are some pictures of the last board that I shaped and glassed. Let me know what you think! The board was shaped and glassed by me. The future fin boxes were installed by a friend, Robert Brinbaum. He also did the black pin line on the deck and sanded the board to perfection.

did you use a tie-died sheet instead of glass?

Looks psychedelic for sure.

Cheers.

I tie dyed a bed sheet of 100% cotton and inlayed it underneath the glass.

do you think the glass ontop of the sheet was nessary? I heard cotton can be quite strong.

Cheers.

The glass on top was definitely necessary. A layer of cotton is pretty much equivilant in strength to one 4oz layer. Anyways, you wouldn’t be able to hot coat and sand a layer of cloth!

That’s rad! I’m in Hotown too!

I saw a bro of mine today–you know Jed Shepler?

Who’s Robert Brinbaum? Where’s he at? Does he do epoxy work?

Very eye catching, almost mind warping.

couple of questions: What tpye of dye did you use on the bed sheet? what resin did you use, epoxy or poly. Are the little witches hand drawn or lams.

That’s cool, man!

Nope, don’t know Jed.

Robert Brinbaum is the owner of Island Fiberglass in Galveston. He does great epoxy work, and I’d say that he’s the best sander in Texas.

Thanks!

Regular, old tie dye will do the trick. I can’t remember the brand name that I used, but it’s all the same. I used polyester resin, and the wizards and witches are all laminants.
