Pig outline vs sidecut

I have a theory that possibly the sidecut design is actually more of a disguised pig shape and maybe it’s foil that matters.

For reference:
Pig = wide point back
Cornice = Side cut design with sharp tail
Trinity boards = side cut design without sharp tail rail (as a far as I know)

Has anyone here tried any combination of these boards with experience to tell what the difference is?

Is a pig outline similar to a sidecut design?

I am only familiar with a pig mini simmons.

I made up a file based on the cornice.

Have finally surfed it and it goes rad, i haven’t had the chance to hit any steeps sections right in the pocket. I have been told that they can be limited in this area, but no more thatn any other alternative shape with a wider tail.

here is my build thread, with a little on the evolution of the idea in my head etc.

I based it on the cornice, but its not the cornice, if anything I made the tail more speed orientated than the production cornice. im not sure what to call the shape of my tail.

Heaps more pics on the build thread but here is a couple of finished pics.

btw, trinity did contact me and give me some advice via email as you can read in the original post i was fishing for advice and they were hapy to help. Really nice guys.
