Pinched Rails

Hi!

What is a pinched rail? Tried searching for a picture but couldnt find any. What are the benefits of using pinched rails?

‘‘Pinched’’ would refer to a rail that decreased in thickness rapidly as it approached the rail apex, when viewed in profile or cross-section.
