Greetings! waves are quite smallish today. not nice. time to work. what are some alternatives to posca peens for pin striping. I want to finish off the edges of a cloth inlay and paaint job. hot coat is sanded to 100 grit. very nice so far but unfortunately i didnt plan ahead and have the nec. materials on hand. 2 hr road trip to nearest supply. maybe I wait.
If you are going to be doing pinstripes down the road you might consider using a tool they use in the autobody/car painting business. It is a big pen type tool with a reservoir on top. At the base, instead of a pen tip, it has a metal cylinder. You can mix your hotcoat /pigment/hardner, put it in the reservoir and the roller lays down a smooth stripe (the roller is gravity fed). A buddy of mine has one and it works real good. A good one will cost you around $100. So of course it wouldn’t be worth it if you are only going to use it on a few boards.
