is a verticle fin a practicle application on a 10’ board or just another rerun from the past?(not refering to a kelp cutter)
i love 'em…but most would probably consider my style “just a rerun from the past”
thanks, thats positive considering you’re tolerating the same surf conditions as me.
sure, it’s meager…but i learned early that you’ve gotta work with what you’ve got. and these past few weeks have been a pleasing change from the norm.
what is the pourpose of a rake fin? ive tried a few on an experimental paipo, but didn’t really notice any diffrence than a thruster but probally because I never got a chance to properley test it. but what do they do?
Rake allows fin forces to be distributed across a fore-aft distance. This distribution had two effects. The first is that it limits how fast you can turn. The second is that it makes turning less dependent on your weight position.
I’d imagine weight positioning to change much less on a paipo than on a board on which someone stands up.
yea I only tested it on that because I had nothing else at the time… Im debating wheather or not to try them ona fish…
