Hi All,
I’d found it before, but now I’ve lost it…
An attachment for a planer that replaces the blades, it’s a gritted wheel that does the cutting…
I saw it but I don’t know where and I’d like to either try it or get some feedback on it.
I tried the archives with no luck. Does anyone have a clue as to what I’m talking about?
Thanks in advance.

its called a grit barrel – they are expensive ($300), but can be used to e.g. go sideways across stringers. They sell them for Skil and Hitachi through shapersaustralia.com, look under shapers tools…
Tom Stern just bought one from Fiberglass Hawaii in Santa Cruz.It may be the same drum Keith is talking about.Supposedly it has a spiral configuration to the grit making it exhaust better. These drums are primarily for EPS foam but they work good on Clark Blanks if they are already skinned. The drum wasn’t that hot for skinning.(in my humble opinion).
