Anyone in southern Cali that tunes up and fixes up Skil 100’s? Wondering about bearing replacement etc. Also any feedback on those that have used a Skil 100 vs. a Power Kraft or other planers. I have never used a Skil but ave held one. I don’t really see the big deal. Also, how do you release the quick depth adjustment on the Skil 100 so it does stick an click at each level. JC’s planer on Saping 101 has a smooth depth adjustment, you can see the front shoe drop as he holds it hanging down.
