Bought this planer off an old remodeler, completely happy to use it as a workhorse to skin blanks and get thickness down, true rails, etc, but I would like to mod the the depth control knob. It is on the front of the machine, not the knob on top. It takes about 10 cranks to get it to move 1/16th of an inch. Anyone else use this model? Montgomery Ward Powr Kraft planer, 3 1/16th. 15,700 rpm 7.0 amps. Any help is appreciated. There is no regret on the purchase, more novelty than anything else. It was cheap and I thought it may be the 100 when I first saw it. Thanks in advance!
