Plastic Fantastic in NJ

I found this Plastic Fantastic at a garage sale a few years ago, dont a little searching in the archives on here and I’m still a bit curious. Bootleg or not I dont really care as it’s fun to break out once in a while on some lined up soft waist high waves…which is more than I can ask for during summer. Single box and no leash plug and no markings on it of any kind aside from the lam. When i found it there was a broken fin that must have been around 7 inches at most, really upright, very thin and not much surface area to it. I’ve been riding with a 8 L Flex from true ames, any other good fin suggestions for this kind of board?

For some reason I find myself unable to respond to the topic I started. There’s probably some simple thing I’m doing wrong.

It’s always fun and/or interesting to ride the one or two days a year I get it in the water but i kind of feels like a waste just having it sit in storage among my other boards that dont get enough use.

Very few, if any, shapers were signing boards.        And board size, printed on or near the stringer, was not yet in vogue.       You actually have a very nice example of the boards of that period.

PS:   It is NOT a bootleg.       It’s the real deal.

You need more points to be able to post.       I gave one.      I hope others will do so too.      I think the threshold is 10 plus.      How about it guys, care to give some points, so the poster can respond?

point given.

This brings me back.  As the T-shirt said…Simo Lives, in Technicolor!

I like points, thanks for the points. I feel liberated from my inability to post.

Surfboards are fun.
