Ply fins - best glass schedule?

Hi all,

Just done this evening my deck lam and now about to tack on my quad fins that I have made from 9mm beech ply.  I was going to place 2 x 4oz of cloth to each side of the fins, but then thought I’d ask to check if this is strong enough - i.e. whether 4oz then 6oz would be better or 2x 6oz to each side?  I know if all about personal preference, but I thought I’d just seek a bit of advice before I commit. The fins now peak to around 7/8 mm thick and taper out to nothing on the trailing edge, so whether a bit more glass is better?

Many thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated,

Neil

Bert mentions 2 layers 6 oz.

I usually use 3 layers of 4 oz each side but tend to prime the wood first with a thinned out layer of lam resin. I also cut the mid layer with the weave at 45 degrees to the other 2. I then trim close to desired outline before hotcoating and sanding. Then tack on with 3 minute epoxy froma squeezy tube (tragos) then glass on with rovings and three 4 oz patches either side. Ansome.
