Hi. Eps (expanded, open cell) & some xps (extruded, closed cell) foam blanks- which are used alot in modern epoxy board construction - are subject to delamination caused by changes in atmos pressure & heat. To overcome this,i know 2 manufactuers have pressure escape thro’ a (1) a vent in the deck,or,(2) a serious of holes drilled in the deck. However, alot of polystyrene board construction doesn’t account for pressure change & subsequently, some delam after a couple of years. So folks, WATCH out for poor polystyrene board construction. It is not just a pop out issue. Can anyone advise me regarding the new eps SLX Mctavish boards ? Do these SLX boards have delam issues like other eps boards,or have they overcome it? How does SLX differ from other eps, with rergards to construction? I am no oracle. Can anyone enlighten regarding the slx range. Cheers Pad
