Your experiences… good or bad.
easy to work with, great bond, nice finish (but not as good as a gloss coat) turns bright yellow within 2 months. even the stuff that says ultra clear gloss. I’ve sanded it off a couple boards and given up on it.
cheers

You need the UV blocker in the epoxy. The polyurethane yellows under UV.
Works as well as polyester does. At least on my board.
More controllable working times, can be easily extended, stronger, tougher, more waterproof, bonds well. Not much against it, I use it all the time with PU and other foams.
Polyurethane foam with an epoxy glass job, great, great bond, lite and strong. really happy.
Epoxy glass job with clear polyurethane spray finish, great bond, and great shine but turns yellow quickly, even the uv stable stuff, still havent got round to sanding it all off yet. going back to using elbow grease.
My bad, I guess I misinterpreted the question. I was only talking about a PU coat over top of epoxy. Don’t know aboutthe foam but a friend who used to own a big glass shop in San Diego has told me that epoxy and PU foam is a great combo.
The only downside is the drying time with epoxy.
Stronger, lighter, no bad smell (with the right stuff).
Oh, and maybe the price, and the extra step of keying the surface for the filler coat.
