Was looking into the archives and it seams Krylon clear acrylic spray and Future floor sealer are the two best methods for preserving work with posco pens and/or smoothing out a rough sanded board. Is this correct? I’d like to hear what everyone thinks is better.
automotive acrylic varnish whitout catalyst with matte additive…that{s it
like Reverb says automotive is the champagne of clear coats and Krylon is the beer of clear coats. Future is as useful as a handful of dirt for protecting Posca pen art… …metaphor anyone?
Ok thanks… and where do I get that stuff?
There are stores that specialize in automotive/boat/aircraft paints. More specialized than a store for house paints. Your local phone directory under “automobiles-paint/supplies”. Or, do an online search and have some shipped an expect to pay a lot more… Which is why I use Krylon Satin Clear.
yeah as a few have learned on here recently FUTURE does not seal, paint it is a fiberglass sealant but will do noting for paint. I use the krylon most but have had great results with auto-clear http://www.surfboardglassing.com
it’ll ‘seal’ the paint just fine, whatever that means. It just doesn’t offer any physical protection.
