I’ve just finished my 8th board (a 7’1) funboard, and since I don’t have the luxury of a shop, I have to do my work outdoors under a tarp. Well this lam job is/was tha best I’ve done so far, no goofs, but the trades kicked up (as they sometimes do on Maui)and left a brown film on my “not quite cured” lam coat. I figured I’d get a damp cloth and wipe it off and bring it indoors. All good except for one spot near the nose that smudged, now I have an ugly brown smudge mark that I can’t get off, any ideas are appreciated.
Have you considered acetone on a clean rag to dab/wipe it off? It may leave the cloth looking a little dry but the hot coat should take care of it.
Thanks John. it worked fine, I don’t know why I didn’t think of that, must be too much resin fumes , thanks again>>> Have you considered acetone on a clean rag to dab/wipe it off? It may > leave the cloth looking a little dry but the hot coat should take care of > it.
