Post Pictures of your latest project - what ya been working on?

Barry that board is insane man. Any color work planned?

On a side note I saw one of your knee boards out here in Okinawa Japan! Long ways from California. Sick design. Could tell it was yours immediately and totally geeked out on it at my buddies surfshop.

Cant wait to see how that monster turns out.

Thanks Clint.

Your boards are looking good too.

I’ve sprayed that Clown fish design a few times as well.

Was it the concave deck board you saw?

This board will have a opaque red bottom and rail with a clear deck.

Kinda tame for me.

Yeah man that clown fish was fun but a lot of work taping off all the curves down onto the rails (but I am no pro).

The knee board was bright green with black stripes. slight deck concave and the quads way up the board for obvious reason. Had your killer little 3D box logo. I was really stoked to see it out here on the fringe. We dont get a lot of US variety around here especially your quality of craftsmanship. Most of the stuff is from Australia and then the random bigger names with some local boards thrown in.

Cant wait to see that finished 11’8". Color sounds scheme sounds simple and classic, I love the crazy paint and wild tint but sometimes customers want something specific. I have been lucky most folks around here let me go nuts on color work and trying stuff out with tints.

New backyard glassing setup

Will post some pics of boards in the next few weeks

I got a re-purposed EPS blank from a great board builder Charlie Price.  I decided to make a kid’s SUP (8’x25”x4”).  I had some leftover green and yellow colored epoxy and opted to do a Kimo Green styled acid swirl foam stain to hide the blank flaws.  Picked up a 4mm yoga pad from Ross for $8 and used it as the SUP deck pad. Acrylic sealed with a light buff.   Quad plus 1 fin set up. I think my granddaughter is stoked!

I have a fairly serious case of “glassing bay envy” going on.

Zack,

Far too sterile.

Hurry up and dirty it up.

Make sure to give that compressor a good air inlet. If starved for air, it will burn up. ( don’t ask me how I know).

Looking forward to seeing what you’ve been up to.

where is the beer cooler?

a new 7’8" quad eps/redwood stringer/epoxy/fusions.  quite light.

Nice, Keith.

All the best

Barry, keep the pics coming.  This looks epic.

All the best

Haha yeah baz will be getting some resin on those floors soon, just waiting on my foam order. Very keen to do some coloured boards, havent had much chance at the day job with all the clear boards i work on.

And yeah we cut an air vent out the back, its super noisy so was trying to make something to contain the sound and not piss off the neighbours, works  great :)

This is my latest 9’ x 23.5" x4" tapered stringers, 2.2 oz. innegra and 4 oz. S glass both sides. My second time vaccum laminating. I learned a lot (code for big F ups).

Hello, my name is True Park, and I am building surfboards and making art in South Korea.

Surfing and its industry has been booming these days in Korea, and a lot of shops rent and lesson surfing along the beaches, and more surf-related art scenes are being developed. I have been making surfboards since 2008 (shaping and glassing and finishing all alone :( ) We don't have such of well established surfboard industry, so I make my own blanks and gluing up, then shaping, glassing so on..)

I graduated with Bachelor of Fine Arts in scultpure at University of Nebraska at Omaha. Yes, it's not quite a match for surfing. However, after I came back to Korea, I decided to build surfboards backyard style in 2008, and it kept me going up to now.

I also do printmaking combining Korean traditional imagery and surfing theme.

I hope surfboard builders and surfer out there enjoy my art and surfboards, and hopefully people will travel Korea to surf!

TruePark…I love it…welcome to the revolution!

Herb

Love your artwork True.

I just finished this “longboard” for my 6 year old son.  It is also my first time doing a resin swirl.  PU/Epoxy 6’ 8" x 19 3/8" x 3", flat bottom to 1/8" V out the back.
