Post your Hull pictures Second Thread

Hopefully the discussion can continue in a positive manner. I have enjoyed lurking on the original thread for some time!! I will post pics of my new find a late 60’s 7’6 Hull. Unsure of shaper due to a new gel coat. Board has an original Greenough 4a WAVESET fin- it is 7’6 in length- about 2.75 thick with pinched 50/50 rails

good to see we’re up and running again.

Smoothie – for a late 60s board, it looks in rather good shape!

Rgds,

in on the first page of a soon to be epic thread!

The Fishull 1 glassed and christented in 1-2 foot dribble. At this point all I can say is that it floats.

the board has been gel coated- not original- who knows what below the top coat- shit i dont even know who shaped it!!

Oh yeah…3" (nose rocker)+(S-deck)+(pulled nose)=Pearl Diver.

I wish I had some connection to USC to justify those colors…in fact I can’t stand those guys (Go Gaucho’s).

Lee: why did you go with high-aspect fins instead of keels? Looks awesome though … can’t wait to hear how she rides in real stuff!

from the pic, it looks kinda down-railed … is it the pic?

“Keels are in the mail!” or so I’ve been told.

Rails are typical “hull” but not as pinched. Due to poor planning by me on the blank/rocker/length front, the hull ended up right around the middle of the board rather than up towards the bow.

Congratulations Lee, you got 'er done. Looks nice. The keel fins will make a difference. Wouldn’t it be nice if as soon as you got the board ready there was actually some surf? The wait can drive you nuts.

Hey Dennis, I was in Wavefront sat. and saw your retro hulls . they looked great, nice boards.

ahhhh back to the essence of the original thread, nice to see we’re all being civil again!

7’ x 22" x 3 1/16"

Wow oh shit bad words for good things… that woooden S deck is so fuckin’ BITCHIN’!

Come ON!

That is some tasty looking work.

Thanks Kirk, wish you were around when I walked in with this one… that would have been fun.

Very nice Ryan.

oooooh that looks fun!

havent used keels on my hull in a little bit, but that one will open up someones mind pretty quick!

Ryan, how much did that beauty end up weighing?

that 7’er is somewhere between 8-10 lbs, we dont have a scale at the moment, the chambered one is in the high 20’s by best guesstimate…but until we have a scale im not fully sure!
