[img_assist|nid=1052979|title=My Jacobs|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=549|height=414]My family heirloom. Purchased used by my Dad at Jacobs’ Hermosa Beach shop for $99.20 in 1963. I surfed it once with Hap at San-O and he claimed to have only made 5 or 6 with only one offset redwood stringer.
[img_assist|nid=1052983|title=#1|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=243|height=183]For the last three years and for the forseeable future I am surfing Lake Superior. I usually ride an HP 9ft LB, but sometimes you need a little more board.
Beautiful board Dave.

9’9 Solid balsa pintail pig by Donald Takayama. Candy apple red lay up on the bottom with shadow flames.

Ace, nicely proportioned. Have we talked about those channels next to the fin and was I not paying attention again? What are they for_ though I could make a good guess, and what is the feedback on them?
Find a old “Cat” look at its bottom. Hate to tell you the industry name for the Slots.

nice and white!
Rev 2 Pig. 9-4 by 23. I think too wide. But a quad again and I must say I really like the way it rides. Tempera on EPS all done with a foam brush. I cut the blank, built the T-band balsa/mahogany stringer and glassed with X glass. I used the 95S Clarke rocker.

My next one will be a Pig/Gun/Cruiser/Quad 10 by 22. Done in Retro colors.
two piggies:
8’9 x 22.75x 3 pintail; Sometimes the board i prefer, sometimes the board i hate…
9’3x 22.75 x 2 7/8
Another “Gato Malo”…

For the uneducated on what a Pig Shape is.........The pig shape is the one on top. Notice the hips way back from the mid point, and a more pulled in nose.
