I disagree with your comment the more surfers the better, waves are a finite resource and the surfing experience gets worse the more surfers there are in the world.
What about designing water filters, cheap housing or sustainable agriculture for the people of the Philippines, I think they need food, clothes and shelter more than surfboards??!
