shall I call you ‘John’ , then ?

thanks for the info !

um…photos …

do you have a programme like “photo studio 5” on your computer ?

If so , once your photos are stored [“my documents/ my pictures” , or whatever …

[file]

[open]

click onto the photo you want

in the next column , click onto

[edit]

…reduce the photo to , say , 300 x 400 pixels…

[okay]

click onto

[file] column again …

[save as ] …pick a name, if it’s not named already …if it’s already named , you’ll have to rename [like , add a one to the title , or something] , as you are basically duplicating an already existing shot , but in a smaller , postable size …

[save] …you’re done …

when the photo is back where it belongs [eg: “my pictures” ]…just click on it , and check that the size is under 87kb, so it will post at sways …

hope this helps mate !!

ben

…it’s worth getting that "photo studio 5 " programme , I reckon …I’d have to ask where my mate ( who very kindly set all this up for me ) got it from …hopefully , it may be free ? off the net ?

…do you know any computer whizz type guys there who could help you get 'p.s.5 , or ‘microsoft photo editor’ , maybe ?

…" FUEL your stoke "…

Be honest with ya, I have used 'em all, have several, but I still use Irfanview for 90% of my quick-and-dirty image work. www.irfanview.com

It’s easy to learn, relatively speaking, fairly compact and free.

XnView is similar and useful for some of the less-used operating systems.

Running Linux? Okay, try the GIMP ( Graphics Image Manipulating Program ) which is kinda tough to learn but has more zip than the big and expensive items like the highly overrated Photoshop.

hope that’s of use
