Surf source is reporting that the power pad sanding disc is failing. Is this true ?? I wonder if the user might have exceeded the manufacturers recommendation for RPM ?? Anyone else have any problems with theirs ???
i wouldn’t believe it.
surfsource has a rep for ripping off other people’s products and selling them under their own no-name brand.
remember how they ripped off ProBox?!
now they’ve found another product to rip off and are spouting out bullshit to make you think that their (usually inferior) product is better.
all in favor of a SURFSOURCE BOYCOTT, say “I”…
I just looke at the SSource site. new to me. I have used the Power Padz for 10+ years w/no real issues. Now that I do more dings then full board work, I do use a smaller, softer foam pad (like what SSource shows, but they are some yellow/blue pkg, do not know mfg.). My guess is that the “SSource foam” would be a bit easier to abuse/ruin if you were using bigger size pads and sanding full boards.
Probably it’s like all the new board foam out there, you use and get used to whatever you use and get used to, no big deal either way.

I had a sneaking suspicion that they are trying to promote their pads, while making other ones look bad by spreading an untruth, and practicing unscruplous business practices.
