Has anyone been to puerto nuevo, mexico? I’m thinking of heading down with some friends. Was wondering if anyone had input on the waves this time of year, water temp, water poop %, and just any mexico traveling tips. I’m not very experienced with mexico, so I’d appreciate any advice. John
I assume you are talking about the restaurants on the free road where you eat lobster. Where do you plan on staying? Tere is a hotel there but this is not a surf spot.
I have got surf there… there is a break on the south end of the town… I was staying at the New Port Beach Hotel just to the left of Puerto Nuevo… there was a good swell out of the south and it was breaking good all over the place.but there are better places to surf near by… have fun.
Go to the south end of “town”, scramble down the cliff (avoiding several open pit cesspools) paddle out about a 100 yards or so and start heading south…Medium tide, SW or WNW swell will make you smile. (oh yeah, don’t drink the water…)
