Put on Quad fins

Hello I am just new on Swaylocks as I am new on making my own boards. So I have a question:-I surfed a Hynson Blacknight quad five eleven that I rented in costa Rica and I loved the board.I think the placement of the fins were the rull.I just copied a model of a five ten fish that looks very similar and I am going to make it in wood and hollow. So, could anyone explain me the right measures to put the quad fins.Because I have no clue about the theory of setting fins on.

Thank you very much....

Hey Mandala

Welcome to Swaylocks.

Two different (of many) ways to position your quad sets here:

Click on the "Fin Layouts" button and "McKee Multisystem"

Thank you very much Bryan .... very helpfull

No Problem,

In my opinion the Multi-system is more like a thruster center fin split and offset from the stringer. Good for frontside, down the line drive.

The other, which I refer to as a "split keel" is best with an adjustable fin system so you can dial in the waterflow between the fins. It works well for beach breaks, and holds a little better for backside surfing and in cutbacks since more fin area is engaged closer to the rail.
