Hey im looking to order a new quad as my all around board for here in jersey. Either a 5 9 or 5 10 swallow tail. I weigh 140 lbs. but i need it to be able to float me all year round with my suit etc. Looking for some cool dimensions. I want this board to be able to perfrom tight turns, ride barrels smoothly, and boost. Any dimension ideas would be helpfull.
check out Fat-Bats @ www.moresurfboards.com super fun quads.....
I’m the same weight. I have a 5’9 x 19 1/8 x 2 1/8 Coil swallow tail quad with super knifey rails. It’s good for chest high +. I have a 5’10 x 19 x 2 1/4 Flyer quad for groveling, but the rails are full, and this board is a bit too much for me frontside. I had a 5’10 x 19 1/8 x 2 1/8 FW quad. Before that, I used to ride thrusters exclusively 5’10-5’11 x 17 3/4-18 1/8 x 2 1/8.
I like the Stretch quad front fins, too, although I just got some Griffin G-10s after trying some out.
I’m 185 and owned a 6’2 firewire quadraflex and it did all of the above with a 3/2 full suit here on the east coast. It had SF4 quads in it also.
