in the middle of a board build for a mate, he wants a quad set up, ive just done one for a 6’ board but nothing as long as a 7’6’’ .
the tail is a semi pin tail and 14’’ at 12’’ from the tip. Bottom simple just flat with a slight rail bevel and flat through the fins. was thinking on the lines of 113/4’’ front and 61/8’’ rears all back of fin from tail, im i on the right track?
Heres one: http://www.hanaleifinsystems.com.au/resources/PDFDocuments/hfs_quad_fin_layout_2011.pdf
here’s another: http://greenlightsurfsupply.com/images/PDFS/Fin_setups_quad_thruster_2plus1.pdf
and here’s a 3rd choice, although the website seems to be down right now: www.mckeesurf.com/
Check these out and find a happy medium…
I’d suggest the Hanalei set up with addjustable boxes.
I noticed a significant difference between a 1/2" and 1" spread between the fins fore/aft. Fastest set up for me, get the back for over the back fins and you can do just about anything…
I have two similar quad boards, one with McKee & one with Hanalei, and I prefer the Hanalei set up by far. Smoother rail to rail transitions and it holds better when you really lay it over.
