just checked out this video… pretty cool. i was just wondering if you guys know what that tool is he used to mark the rail bevels… ive been mesuring for each one its a pain. it looks like that tool could make shaping more fun… any ideas thanks…

He uses a rudimentary version of this tool: The rail bander

I just use a pen taped to my carpenter’s square. 'works like magic.

if you really want to have some rail banding fun, check out bill barnfield’s thread on shaping rails…delicious!
