question for matt

Hey matt. Awhile back you mentioned you have a bladed 9’0 hull in your quiver. I am thinking about doing something similiar and was hoping you could help me out a bit with the dimensions and characteristics of your board, and most importantly what type of wave and surfing you think it excels in. You can email me if you wish at . Thanks for any details of your board and help you can offer. Take it easy- connor

Take it easy- connor no problem-i’ll get the numbers for you in next day or two.it was designed for down the line, point wave surfing.it is essentially one of my 7’hulls stretched out to 9’, the idea being it could still be surfed from the middle/forward position and on the rail in the fashion of the 7 footer, yet have paddle power with the extra length.it almost goes too fast when hooked up in a head high peeler.much more manageable in smaller waves.

Sounds similair to what I was thinking; you think I could pull something like this from the 9’1 Y natural? Also, are the blady rails slightly turned down, giving a slight edge in the tail or full down and hard edge? How 'bout bottom contour? Lastly, about how far up are you running your fin? Thannks a lot bro, next step is to get the blank and look into doing my first s-deck and hull! See ya man- connor

See ya man- connor this was crafted from a 10’3 phil edwards blank in order to get correct rocker with right amount of hull.the yater blank might be close enough-try it.slight edge in tail, not full down, hard edge.hull to flat in tail.9" flex fin 14" up as measured to the trailing edge.have fun!
