question : lift for the nose, need some help

Hi everyone

Once again I have a question regarding the shaping of rails.

I am a rookie so my questions may seem strange!!!

I would like to shape a board like an egg or a fish with moderate rocker, to avoid the pearl effect when taking off and the grab a rail thing I was wondering if having a very low rail like a 80/20 or even a sharp rail I mean lower in the nose area would be a good thing to generate lift and therefore not having the nose of the board being sucked into the wave.

Or is that kind of design to generate lift only for noseriders?

As mentionned above, I am a rookie so just wondering.

concave, like they use on the longboards…

Bevels under the rails might be a good option, raising the rail edge without much drag involved.

Tnx for the idea

Question : if I decided to shape the board egg or fish with a hard edge on the nose or a down rail like 80/20 or even 90/10 then transitionning into a 60/40 and ending up once again at the tail with a hard edge, how would the board function?
