Question on Volume

Hey guys,

I don’t want to be annoying and I did not find a thread for random questions, so if this in the wrong place, please just move it.

If I have any given board, say a traditional fish outline, and I go from 2 3/8 to 2 1/2 in thickness across the entire length of a 5’8" board, is there any way I can estimate the increase in volume? Maybe someone knows from experience what the difference will be? I think calculations like this without a cad tool are fairly difficult?

anyway, I am not looking for a definite number, but a rough estimation whether that volume increase is neglectable or in the 3l range?

all help is greatly appreciated,

Sebastian

resize to length 5’8", leave rest alone
volume@2.5" max thickness= 35.4 liters (green backgruond)
volume@2.375" max thickness=33.8 liters (blue background)

thank you so much…
