Rod, Not so fast, you can find a 4 degree fin and use your drimel tool to customize the fins. Look at Futures Fin choice and pick the fin you want with 4 degree available. Now look at the photo I sent you with the yellow KG board. Trace the FCS base forward on the small Future fin which will move this fin back and trace the FCS base on the large Future fin back which will move the fin forward in the FCS set-up. You can do this with Future which has a 6" base lenght to find a postion placement. Mahalo, Larry
Larry,
YES!!! Sweet, so along with the twin set you are sending me, I CAN do that and have a quad as well!!! This is basically what I “tried” to do with the bing set up quad fins that I got from you (seen in the pics, amber fins). I went as far as I could back on the rear and as forward as I could on the fronts, BUT I TOTALLY forgot that Futures use the SUPER LONG bases. Which fins would I use as a starting point for me? (don’t stay up all night looking for me, just if you happen to know off the top of your head).
Thanks LARRY!!! Gotta love help even though he isn’t trying to make money off me. Talk about service.
OK, so I just took an EA450 off one of my thrusters, I measured a 4 degree cant on that fin. I didnt know they had the cants built into thier fins, I then looked at my 450 FCS fins and they are NOT canted. It looks like the rear amber fin I am using is pretty dang far back already, I would just need to buy a set of fronts and modify them as far forward as possible.
Rod, Just call Future and ask for the Template you like and then ask if they are available in 4 dregree. Don’t waste your time looking on the website. Mahalo, Goodnight
Larry. I was thinking of that QFT1 as well, because in that set up Futures recommends the smaller trailer (like the one I have) and it uses the larger front fin. No info on Cant on that one, so I will probably just call.
The info they have one the fins with cant info are the vector fins (6degree/9degree or 6/9/11) or the Scimitar fins from 6/9/18 (the cant increases as it goes further out to the tip).
Rod, Remember all of Future Fins, Official, Lokbox come with a cant of some sort in the base of the fin and all of FCS mainly come with no cant in the base of the fin except a very few special fins they offer. Mahalo
The board in the photo is a Twinzer. Small fin forward set at about 7degrees. Notice how the fins overlap…
There’s several other things going on with that board…see the channel and the wings…there’s also a slight Vee going along the stringer. Looks like Moonlight glassed that one. The board is not a Fish. It’s an Egg about 6’4" -6’8"…
That’s all I know…I wish Ben was here to give you the real details

See, I learn something everday. Looks like the standard cant on my ea450 is about 4 degrees. I have my new GH with the probox system set up at 8 degrees in the front and 6 in the back and really seem to like that set up, but we are talking different fins, different board shape, etc…

Let’s go surfing!
Ray
Hey Ray. Thanks for the offer. I think I am going to try a modified futures then go from there, perhaps I will try a probox install, I will let you know.
Hey Rod, Stingray is a great craftman, the retro fit I am sure in the end will be the ticket. But I got to hand it to ya, you cover all your bases and look at the situation from all angles. That’s how you get information for future situations from R&D of today. Have a good day. Mahalo,Larry

LOL, I guess I am retroactively doing the research. I don’t want to screw up again like I did when I got the board.
