I am wanting to try different fin settings without having to tear the glass when removing. I was wondering if hot glue would hold good enough to try and then be easily removed.
Help is not mandatory, but greatly appreciated.

Hot glue won’t do it but Ambrose says he uses “Zap A Gap” (which is a gap-filling form of superglue) for just this purpose. I haven’t tried it yet but have no reason to disbelieve him!
Are you intending to just tack them on prior to glassing or actually “trial surf” a set-up? I followed Ambrose’s advise and used Zap-A-Gap to tack mine on. No way that the glue would hold up to torque and shear in the water as I was easily able to snap mine off to re-set a bad angle prior to glassing. Great advise from Ambrose though (thanks).

Howzit roostersurf,Sounds like you're ready for the Power Box system which lets you change fin angles. The system uses inserts with different degrees of angle which you put the fin in and insert into the box. It's a brand new system invented here on Kauai and I've already installed it on boards, it's 1 of the easiest systems to install and works. Aloha,Kokua
Thanks guys, zap a gap sounds like it might be the ticket. You say they snap off with no tear or de lam. I have tried 5 min epoxy, worked goof till I tried to get it off.
Thanks kokua, I am trying a few different fin set-ups on this board. I am interested in this system though for other boards. Does this system let you change the toe-in and the cant? forward as well? I tried to get more info but couldn’t find anything. Do you have a link or something to get more info?
Kokua, if it’s the one that accepts FCS fins isn’t it called “pro box” ?
Howzit Lokbox, Now that you mention it I think that is the name. I have the kit in the shop and didn’t check to make sure I had it right. Wouldn’t that be a trip to be promoting a system and not use the correct name. Thanks for the heads up,better get back to the shop and make sure.Aloha,Kokua
I was kinda thinkin’ along those lines lol. They’ve got some samples floating around here at some of the shops. Interesting concept. Parts fitting inside parts that fit into parts worries me a bit though. Hard to keep all your tolerances tight when dealing with all molded parts. Shrinkage rates can have your fit all over the place. That being said, it’s good to see all these new ideas, and people actually thinking about it more! Those guys got a few tough years ahead of them, and i don’t think i could handle being in that position again. Bet it won’t be too long before someone comes up with the bomb system that just blows all the others away. The main problem isn’t really any of the systems as far as failures go, it’s the marshmallow substance we’re trying install them into.
Howzit Lokbox, Actually the system is pretty tight since the set screws go through the insert and tighten to the fin. The only problem I found was with the more angled inserts the fin did not line up on the shapers fin marks. Talked with the owners and they said it was a tooling problem due to communication with the tooling guy. They have informed the tooler of the problem and it has been corrected. I think the system will find a nitch and catch on for those who want to be able to change the fin angle. Installation is really easy and the install kit only costs $25.00 and the boxes are $12.00 a set. They will accept FCS fins and FCS fins have some leeway in the box so you can slide them forward or back. Futures will fit if you grind off some of the tab and can probably do the same with other fins. They can get you fiberglaas or foamcore fins that fit also. Aloha,Kokua
Being able to convert to other fins is a good option IMO.
Just a thought, a ball joint type system. fin fits in ball, ball in joint. Would be able to pivot fin to any rotation desired.
