Rail Ding Help

tblank - It's his hot rod project, and it was just the hood that was in the garage. You know, one of those kinda projects where there are pieces of it strewn about every horizontal surface in the garage!

Doc, that's only $38k for that sweet surf mobile - that's not too bad!

Ah yes - I have a Walker-Turner saw and a welder like that DeSoto project -

Meanwhile, and good for you, I didn't know if anybody else was gonna throw that number at a currecy converter - Deutz USA sells the same engine those use in the US, but as an 'agricultural' engine, so that I'd suspect you might have difficulties bringing one of those DeSotos into the US. 'Automotive' engines have a more difficult  set of  standards to meet than 'agricultural' . But...difficulties, not necessarily impossible.

For instance - if I was running a surf camp in rural Mexico or El Sal or similar, a couple of those might be a really good way to go. Haul the touristas around through damned near anything in reasonable comfort, 14 at a time. And put on the Mother of All Roof Racks on top. Run supplies, what have you, pull a trailer full no problema. Kinda like a Unimog but less money.

I once played with the idea of a surf camp... and decided I liked clams a whole lot better than I liked touristas. And that I liked the local folks in (Spanish speaking rural area withheld to protect the innocent) a whole lot better than I liked touristas too. None of 'em ever called me 'duuude', for instance.  A few other things, yes, but never 'duude'.

Or.... Deutz does make some engines in that size and power range that are sold as 'automotive' in the US - have one of those installed at the factory. Deutz, for instance, could be very cooperative with that. They had a big thing going a while back, trying to get us fishermen to put Deutz diesels in fishing boats, and they were real helpful to those that did.

It'd be worth it , mebbe, to find out if there's a Canadian or Latin American agent for the company. Now, who speaks Turkish? Use my name, by all means...

what's the Turkish word for

doc...???
