Mulitple areas were de-laminated, I’m sure from oils within the cedar hampering the bond. I’ve seen a blank in three pieces at Clark Foam in Fla (also cedar stringers)that I was hoping to buy for cheap, but they wouldn’t sell. Here’s what I did: Mix lam resin and cabosil but leave it runny so it will penetrate. Gently spread the foam from the stringer and pour in the void. Hold it open a while so it will penetrate and keep pouring. You should get a good “squeeze-out” when you let go, then clamp the thing with several loops of tape til it kicks. Do all this before you shape the blank, if you do it after shaping be sure to tape-off the foam and stringer, or it may mess up a tint job, etc. I bet white glue would work as well, cause I gotta believe strength is a minor issue as the glass skin holds it all together. Good luck!

You could use white glue but i would use white resin… Tape off the foam as not to get any on the skin… Use tape ( a clamp would work best ) and pull it as tight as you can let dry and start shaping…>>> Tom: I had a similar problem lately with a triple stringer blank with > cedar stringers. …you’re making it to difficult, use superglue,it penetrates, and dries quickly. That way you can shape right away.Don’t worry if you don’t get it all saturated, the lam process will get the rest.Herb

5 Minute epoxy, Home Depot, about $3.00 and you can add pigment to match glue up if need be. sk
